"This is just one example of our political status quo: America's LEGAL immigration system is in dire need of a reform. Even though the members of Congress agree to that, they are not able to or not willing to bring about such a reform. Their hands are tied because of a certain powerful focus group who won't allow ANY immigration reform unless it encompasses a comprehensive reform of a well-known controversial issue. Innocent people always get hurt in a war. And in this conflict its the legal immigrants, who have not broken any laws, are the ones who are suffering the most. Can we take the following decision. (this question is for the regular members who reply to peoples queries)
Questions that ask for any help or suggestion will be answered only if the persons signature mentions that they have contributed.
People who dont want to contribute can go to elsewhere and ask questions
With total contributions < 20% (may be lower) then Payton Boggs fees (http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showpost.php?p=50347&postcount=4) and repeated requests to focus on financial contributions, $0 contributing members continue (with utter dis-regard to financial contributions) to post in IV forums.
There is a member with $0 contributions but 239 posts (often non-english) containing utter nonsense. My dog can post 100 posts and become a senior member. However, my dog will be less shameless so as to avoid misusing someone's scarse resources.
We have 97% (of 9,000) members who can not pay $20. This is when Aman has spent 30-40K and core members have spent in K's.
The Skilled tag of IV members is only for Labor Certification. Shame on all financially non-contributing members and non-members who continue to hang here.

It�s really a sad state for us, first the lawyer�s then the BEC delayed the cases, then the july fiasco.
With a PD of 11/01 I am not sure porting to EB2 will be worth it specially with premium I-140 gone and the costs associated, ????? :(

2) H1-B�s pay all types of taxes (Social Security, Federal, State etc.) from day-1. In fact, more than a 100,000 H1-B�s, have been working, paying taxes in US for 5-10 years, without even being a permanent resident. The issue of tax has been misreported on Mr. Dobbs show on multiple times.
3) Fewer percentage of H1-B s have overstayed their visas than the percentage of senators who have been guilty of taking bribes, or the percentage of journalists who have misrepresented facts!
4) Medical doctors, Researchers, Engineers, Bio-technologists, CEOs, CFOs you name it, a lot of them are H1-B visa holders. They are in demand in all industries. The shortage of high-skilled workers has in fact led Microsoft to plan the setup of a research center in Vancouver. But, that�s another topic, and is not the purpose of our letter here.
Over the years, many of us have held CNN in high esteem for its journalistic capabilities, and we would still like to think of it is as the �Most Trusted name in news�. The revised bulletin clearly says that they are going to reject any july applications.
Also, they cannot hold the applications for ever as there will be other potential problems like travel.
So, something should happen between now and the August 1st.
Now that USCIS / DOS know that they have made mistake and also aware that this is exposed to the entire country. So this is what they are doing.
1. Keep all the applications pending so that AILF could not start the lawsuit. ALIF needs rejection proof.
2. Updated their site stating the receipt notice will be sent after Aug 1st, So everyone keeps quiet till this date.
3. I beleive, the Judge will rule out by July 29 saying that itis fault of DOS / USCIS and say they have to accept all the applications which are filed in July leaving the applicants only two days to file.
4. No one can argue that all the ELIGIBLE applicants should be allowed to file. The reason is NOT all the eligible applicants filed in June. Also if you feel that you are eligible for July, then you should have prepared all your application papers ready by July 29. If you cannot file, you are out.
I feel, this is what is going to happen. So better prepare your papers and keep it ready.

Folks - Our strength in numbers is going to matter in the end. 40 people calling the representatives is not going to cut it. We need all the registered members to come forward at this time and make these ever important calls. The whole process does not take more than 10 minutes. People in these offices are really nice and easy to talk to. They will note down your message and pass it on to the representatives. Let's pick up where we left off before this July 2 visa bulletin debacle (and the resulting struggle). Though the whole fiasco did get us our first taste of success, imho, and as such isn't insignificant by any measure.
